This section will first discuss the rationale of the model followed by a description of the proposed model's working. The second section will consider the details of the proposed model. This will emphasize the applicability of the proposed model as a face recognition system. Through this review, we will highlight the various challenges faced by face recognition systems as well as the advantageous characteristics of immune inspired computation and symbiotic agents. This will include sections on face detection, face recognition, the applications of face recognition, immune inspired computation, and symbiotic agents. The first section will consider the problem background through a literature review. The remainder of this paper will be split into two main sections. The elements of the immune system are implemented through various intelligent agents in a symbiotic relationship with each other. This paper proposes a model for face recognition that uses the immune system as an extended metaphor with the goal of detecting and recognizing anomalous faces. The immune system must constantly protect the body from harmful antigens is an excellent inspiration for anomaly detection methods. Face recognition has a wider range of applications as part of the 4IR. However, simply detecting a face has a limited number of applications outside of face recognition systems. An Artificially Intelligent assistive robot caring for elderly or disabled people would be able to pass a total Turing Test if it is able to maintain new knowledge gained, make decisions based on new knowledge, adapt to new and changing environments, process natural language, manipulate objects in its physical environment, and detect objects using computer vision. These technologies rely on Artificial Intelligence as a cornerstone that enables learning and intelligent behaviour without constant human intervention or supervision. The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR or Industry 4.0) is characterized by the stuff about M2M, industrial IoT and cooperative smart robots.
